This week we’re congratulating Maria, who has been nursing with us since November 2021, and who is now beginning work as a dental hygienist across our Jesmond, Stanley and Ponteland practices!
Maria is a fully qualified dental hygienist and studied as Ramon Cajal Institute in Barcelona, qualifying in 2015 with a Diploma of Senior Technician in Dental Hygiene. Maria worked as a dental hygienist for three years in Barcelona and is currently working at Honour Health, converting her Spanish qualification to a UK qualification.
Maria enjoys treating patients with different needs such as periodontal disease, gingivitis and staining. Maria uses our state of the art EMS Airflow system to quickly, effectively remove biofilm and staining, revealing a healthier, brighter smile. She enjoys consulting with our dentists in order to provide the very best treatment for our patients, and is also interested in broadening her knowledge of teeth whitening and facial aesthetics.
In her spare time, Maria enjoys running along the quayside and at Jesmond Dene. She would also love to get back into rollerblading, as she has had a break from it since coming to the UK.
