We provide the full range of NHS dental treatments at our Newcastle and Stanley practices.
You’re entitled to any NHS dental treatment which you need to maintain your dental health.
Your Honour Health dentist in Newcastle or Stanley will give you a treatment plan after your dental health assessment, which will show you what dental treatment you require, and the costs involved.
There are three standard charges for a course of NHS dental treatment, depending on the treatment needed.
From 1 April 2019:
Band 1 – £22.70 (examination, diagnosis, advice)
Band 2 – £62.10 (Band 1 above plus fillings, root canal work and extractions)
Band 3 – £269.30 (Bands 1 and 2 above plus crowns, dentures and bridges)
Urgent – £22.70
These charges are also displayed in our waiting rooms.
We may offer to carry out part of the work on your treatment plan privately if it is not available on the NHS.
Your dentist will be able to explain which treatments are not available on the NHS.
You are entitled to receive free NHS dental care if:
- you are under 18
- you are under 19 and in full time education
