FAQS

UPDATE: Following the announcement on 31 October 2020 that England will be going into a second national lockdown on 5 November 2020 (for four weeks), we want to reassure patients that we are open and here for you (for routine care and treatments at Jesmond and Ponteland, and emergency care at Stanley). If you have an appointment booked with us, please attend as normal. If you have a toothache, please contact us and one of our dentists will call you back to assess your emergency. Please bear with us as we are working to limited capacity, but we want to see you as soon as we can.

What is happening with Invisalign patients?

Patients currently in treatment

We understand that many patients are mid treatment and have been unable to progress with their Invisalign treatment during lockdown. We are now able to see all patients (at Jesmond and Ponteland) and hope to resume routine care for Invisalign patients. (We are currently seeing patients for emergency care only at Stanley).

If your dentist has not contacted you, please contact the practice to book in for your scan and progress update.

We advise all patient to continue to wear their aligners 22 hrs /day. If you require more cleaning crystals please contact us.

Change your aligners as advised by your dentist. Some patients have been advised to wear each aligner for a longer period before changing, to avoid running out of aligners. We are able to order new aligners and see patients for face to face appointments, therefore this may no longer be required.

New Invisalign patients

Patients who are interested in starting Invisalign will require a smile consultation. Please email us at jesmond@honourhealth.co.uk or ponteland@honourhealth.co.uk to book your FREE consultation.

Thank you for your patience. We can’t wait to see you soon!

What happens if I want to book teeth whitening or re-stock my whitening gel?

We understand that many of our patients have run out of whitening gel during the Covid 19 closure. We are happy to provide whitening gel to current patients who have had a dental examination at Honour Health in the past 6 months.

Whitening gel available:

  • Day gel (6%)
    • Box of 4 syringes
    • Single syringes
  • Overnight gel (16%)
    • Box of 4 syringes
    • Single syringes

Payment will be taken over the phone.

You may collect the whitening gel from the practice.

New whitening patients:

We know many of you had appointments booked to whiten your teeth. A full dental check up is required before you can undergo whitening treatment. This service is now available again (now that we have entered Phase 2).

Are you taking on new patients?

New patients are welcome at all of our Honour Health branches.

Both our Jesmond and Stanley practices are accepting new NHS patients.

Honour Health Club members will be given priority as we start to book routine care. If you wish to join our dental plan please email us. We will post all necessary paper work to you.

We can’t wait to meet our new patients!
