HYPERHIDROSIS

Hyperhidrosis at Honour Health

Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) is a common problem which can be solved with the use of anti-wrinkle treatment. We provide hyperhidrosis treatment at our Jesmond, Stanley and Ponteland practices.

Excessive sweating is treated by injecting Botulinum Toxin (commonly referred to as anti-wrinkle treatment) to the overactive sweat glands, which are identified by first applying a powder to the skin. The toxin acts by blocking excess nerve signals to the sweat glands, which in turn reduces the amount of sweat the body releases.

Is hyperhidrosis treatment right for me?

At Honour Health, we always see you for a full, thorough consultation to determine if this treatment is suitable for you, before going any further. We provide consultations with our principal dentist Onkar Dhanoya at our Jesmond, Ponteland and Stanley clinics.

How would I feel during treatment?

Apart from the small pinprick when the injections are given, this is a comfortable and painless procedure. Local anaesthetic can be used if you have particularly sensitive skin.

What happens after hyperhidrosis treatment?

You will notice a significant reduction in sweating, and this lasts for a period of up to three months, after which time you may opt to return for further treatment.

If you choose our Jesmond practice, you can book a consultation directly with Sage Facial Aesthetics. Find out more here
